Pop's funeral

Rita's grandfather Pop passed away one week ago today. We attended the funeral and Jared came along to sing Amazing Grace. He did a wonderful job. The veterans did the rifle salute and he was given a veteran's burial. He was also a member of the Mason's so that was a big part of the ceremony. It was interesting to see all of the traditions that go along with a funeral ceremony. Everything is very deliberate and there is definitely lots of time taken to do everything exactly as the tradition has been set.

The death was unexpected so it hit the family pretty hard.
