The RV with a slide-out roadster hold
This thing rules. I want one for my
'66 Datsun Roadster - that way I won't even have to put it in my garage.

Recreational vehicle enthusiasts love to be able to bring their favorite mod cons with them on their annual road trips, so German RV manufacturer Volkner Mobile's idea to develop a motor home capable of storing an entire car in its underbelly is sure to be popular with those that can afford the undoubtedly high pricetag. All it needs is a green paint job, a big number "2" on both sides and you've set up every Thunderbirds fan in the country for a month of restless nights: this pointlessly excessive system definitely makes it the Tracy family's day tripper of choice. The car storage system itself consists of a 5 meter long movable plate that sits between the front and rear wheels, and is short enough to cater for low,
roadster type cars. The motor home will be on display at the International Caravan Fair in Dusseldorf, Germany for the next few days: if you're at the show, just look for a stressed out attendant surrounded by hundreds of kids screaming at him to
do the car storage thing again.[Via

it's here
I've been using the MacBook for about a week now, and with it's original 512MB of RAM, it seemed SLOWER than my old 1GHz iBook. But now at it has 2GB RAM, I can honestly say that it's "mo betta." I love the screen and now I want everything to be Universal Binary so things run at native speed.
P.S. Migration Assistant rules!
it's almost here

From half way around the globe, my MacBook is in Ontario. The last 10% takes forever...
new employment, new hardware
A week from today I start a new position as a designer for
RightLine Industries. I am excited. my last day at Apple is this Friday. As coincidence has it, System Kid is
playing at the Apple Store the same day.
So what did I do today? Ordered a new MacBook to replace my current 12"/1GHz iBook. I ordered the white model with an 80GB hard drive. It is a huge improvement over my current laptop. It will be my first Intel based Mac.
To compare:
| iBook | MacBook |
| Screen Size | 12" | 13.3" widescreen |
| Processor | single 1 GHz | dual core 2 GHz |
| Optical Drive | combo drive | super drive |
| RAM | 768MB | 2GB |
| Hard Drive | 30 GB ATA | 80 GB SATA |
| Video RAM | 32 MB | 64 MB shared |
I'm sure there's other stuff, like the remote control and Front Row software, but these are the main differences.
I also ordered an iPod nano to go in the new truck. It should be a nice addition.
